About Me

I am an accredited psychotherapist with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and on the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) register. I have a Masters in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling and an Advanced Diploma in Existential Psychotherapy from Regents University School of Psychotherapy and Psychology. Since 2010 I have provided long and short term counselling at Mind, Highbury Counselling Centre, the Centre for Better Health and the Royal College of Nursing. I adhere to both the UKCP and BACP ethical frameworks.

My approach is informed by twenty years experience of working with adults as an advocate, outreach worker and trainer. From my experiences I have learned to build professional and trusting relationships even when people are in great difficulty or suffering. I have a Master of Arts (Hons) in History and English Literature. While living in Glasgow I co-founded the North Glasgow Community Food Initiative and have since worked in the third sector in management, training and development roles.
